The Population Problem in India
نویسنده
چکیده
pure utility slackens. Art develops. Attractions other than those of eating and mating come into the lives of men and women. There is a fall in the birth rate, but there is a greater fall in the death rate, brought about by sanitation and medical relief. The increase in the population is considerable. Phase IV.?The standard of living continues to rise and art to flourish. The birth and death rates fall further, the first more than the second. The population becomes stationary or nearly so.

An integrated approach for scheduling flexible job-shop using teaching–learning-based optimization method
In this paper, teaching–learning-based optimization (TLBO) is proposed to solve flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) based on the integrated approach with an objective to minimize makespan. An FJSP is an extension of basic job-shop scheduling problem. There are two sub problems in FJSP. They are routing problem and sequencing problem. If both the sub problems are solved simultaneously, t...
متن کاملDiabetes in India: Perspectives on Awareness and Care
Background and aims: Diabetes is a major killing recognized as a silent epidemic globally problem. India has the highest number of diabetes cases in the world causing huge morbidity and economic losses to the country. There were 66.8 million adults suffering from with diabetes in India in 2014, which is expected to rise by 63% to 109 million by 2035. Diabetes led to at least US...
متن کاملFew heuristic optimization algorithms to solve the multi-period fixed charge production-distribution problem
This paper deals with a multi-period fixed charge production-distribution problem associated with backorder and inventories. The objective is to determine the size of the shipments from each supplier and backorder and inventories at each period, so that the total cost incurred during the entire period towards production, transportation, backorder and inventories is minimised. A 0-1 mixed intege...
متن کاملI-26: IVF Scenario in India
The development of assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) in India began with efforts to create “test tube babies” with in vitro fertilization in the 1980s. But rather than commit public funding to advance such research, the Indian government withheld the use of government funds for research on human embryos, largely as a byproduct of the debate over population control. India with a populati...
متن کاملA new metaheuristic genetic-based placement algorithm for 2D strip packing
Given a container of fixed width, infinite height and a set of rectangular block, the 2D-strip packing problem consists of orthogonally placing all the rectangles such that the height is minimized. The position is subject to confinement of no overlapping of blocks. The problem is a complex NP-hard combinatorial optimization, thus a heuristic based on genetic algorithm is proposed to solve it. I...
متن کاملKnowledge, Attitude and Practice followed by Indian Blood Donors
Background: The shortage of blood in the blood banks has always been a challenging issue. In India, there are lot are lot of myths, misconception and malpractices regarding blood donation. Therefore, we aimed to identify the knowledge level of laymen about blood donation practices, their attitude and practices followed by Indian donors, so that we can identify these factors to overcome problem ...
